We were out in Old Town Chania in no time from our suite, with restaurants, shops, sights and the harbor all an easy walk away. The Frida Kahlo suite was quiet, beautiful, spacious and peaceful, with everything we needed. The location really couldn't be better. We arrived in the evening, and the staff sent clear self check-in instructions on WhatsApp. We came by public bus from the airport, and walking over with small bags was manageable. They seem to offer full services and could arrange other things if needed. Old Town felt safe and was easy to get around. I was with my 15-year-old daughter and never felt worried. I'd definitely stay here again.

The room looked like the photos, but the surroundings didn't. There was no castle-like building with the beautiful entrance shown, so the advertising felt false. We were there for our honeymoon, but there was no acknowledgment or special touch in the room, and they didn't even have a guide with recommendations. The room itself was nice, but I wouldn't stay here again.

The location worked perfectly for visiting Old Town, with shops and restaurants just minutes away. Parking took some effort, which is expected around here, but the front desk pointed us to places to try and we eventually found a spot not too far away. Opening the door at Madonna Del Mare was a pleasant surprise. The room was beautiful and spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the AC stayed cold through those blistering 100-degree days.

The owners deserve credit for this beautiful boutique hotel. The decor and rooms are exquisite, and the beds and linen feel high quality. The details are just right. Definitely worth staying.
