Theofilos City Hotel

The owner was helpful and the rooms look good. It's a little way from Chania center, but having a car makes that no problem. Recommended!

The hotel is quiet, cozy and really nice, with very friendly staff who are always ready to help and suggest local attractions. It has the amenities you'd expect from a small hotel. The buffet breakfast covers the basics, though it could use more choices, and you can make up for that by trying local delicacies. The old city is a fair way off, around a 30' walk to the old Venetian harbor. Also, the shower felt a bit claustrophobic, and plus size people may not find it comfortable. For the price it's a very decent stay. I'd recommend it if you're bringing or renting a car.

A good value choice, especially if you're traveling on a budget, and I'd recommend it. Parking shouldn't be a problem, with shared parking just outside and plenty of public spaces too. The hotel is reasonably close to the city center, though you'll need a car to get around, or you can take the bus from the stop by the entrance. Our room was tidy and clean at check-in and kept that way every day. The staff were extremely kind and willing to help, which made the stay pleasant. Breakfast was limited, but good quality.

We had a great time. The rooms were clean, the furniture was new, breakfast was satisfying and included local products, and the staff were really helpful. The only thing I didn't like was the very soft mattress, just my personal preference. Everything else was great!
