The host responded quickly and was there when we needed help. When we asked to switch rooms because of the lack of water pressure on the third floor, we moved to a room on the first floor where the water was fine. The location is a definite 5+, close to everything in Chania’s old town, but it’s very noisy. The room was small, the beds weren’t comfortable, and it was hard to sleep. If you want nightlife that goes late and don’t mind the noise, this could suit you. Bring earplugs, and be ready for a cat to visit your room :) Having been to Crete before, I’d probably stay in the Agia Apostoli area next time.

Self check-in was easy, and the room was clean in a great spot in the middle of the old town, near the harbour. The double queen bed room was really small, though. If you sit on the balcony at night, the neighbourhood cats may come over to play, which was really nice.

It’s a wonderful old building, and our hostess was kind and helped us work out our schedule and store the suitcases we needed to leave behind. We felt very well looked after.

The owner is such a sweet lady, and this little gem is right in the heart of the old town. It felt safe and peaceful, and was quiet enough at night. The beds were comfortable enough, and it was just what we needed for a short city stay. Thanks for a nice stay 🫶🏼

It was a struggle getting the kids to sleep when a concert went on from 22:00 to 24:00. The rooms facing the square have no real sound isolation. The general impression was tragic, especially since other places at the same price offer much better accommodation, if you can manage to book one. The photos are misleading. There are lots of steep stairs that aren’t suitable for two-year-olds. The rooms are small, old, and poorly maintained, as if they were set up in the 60s and never upgraded. The air conditioning works, but barely, and ventilation is poor. There’s a musty smell, and the old beds let you feel each spring separately.
