Haraki Beach

Maria, the owner, was bubbly, kind and helpful from booking through departure. She even had a delicious cake waiting when we arrived. The apartment worked perfectly for our group of three friends, and I can see it suiting a family too. We used the kitchen and dining area to prepare meals with fresh produce from the local mini-markets, and the veranda was lovely for sitting, reading and watching people go by. We also had a reserved spot in the front row of the beach, with loungers and an umbrella. The bay stayed lovely and calm, great for paddling, swimming and snorkeling. The place is practically on the beach, in a quieter area that still felt lively and more authentic, less touristy. There are eateries along the front for all budgets and a couple of mini-markets for supplies. We hired a car, which made it a handy base for Lindos, Grande Bleu beach, The Butterfly Valley and Rhodes town, all 30-45 minutes away. We only had a short trip, so it felt like an amazing find.

The private beach was lovely, and the family couldn't do enough for their guests. Service and facilities were excellent. There was great entertainment too, with tribute acts for Abba, Lionel Richie and Drifters, plus a very entertaining Greek night on Mondays.

Haraki was quiet and uncrowded, just right for a holiday between Faliraki and Lindos. It's a small fishing village, with the accommodation right on the beach and tavernas all around. The terrace was the highlight, with amazing views. Our host was lovely and glad to help, and the rooms were clean. I fully recommend it.

The owner, Maria, was so friendly to communicate with. We enjoyed our stay here more than anywhere else, and can't wait to return. It's a cosy house right on Haraki beach, with a sea view from the terrace that quickly became our favourite spot. There are two bedrooms, a spacious living room and a kitchen, and it works well for a family holiday.
