Ionian Balcony

We chose the separate villa with a pool, mainly because the pool photos looked so appealing, but it was only 4/2 sqm. There’s no view from the house, and the rooms are very basic with no hot water. The WiFi didn’t work, and there was no phone signal, so we couldn’t contact the owner to let them know about anything. The grill felt like a toy one for kids. We did like the kitchen, but we regret choosing this place.

The apartment was roomy, the beds were clean, and the balcony had a pretty nice view. The furniture seemed a bit dated, and the bathrooms need attention: the toilet seat wasn’t secured properly, and the boilers above the showers didn’t look good. Empty light sockets also seemed unsafe and should be fitted with bulbs or taken out. WiFi wouldn’t work in the apartment. The owner said it would be fixed, but it never was, although it worked fairly quickly by the pool and restaurant. (15/1) Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly even though their English wasn’t great. They’d left water and bread in the fridge when we arrived, which was a thoughtful touch.

I had such a lovely rest here. The view is incredible, and the place feels welcoming, almost like visiting relatives who are ready to help and explain anything you need. The people and the setting were both wonderful.

The view was absolutely amazing, and the room was very clean, with air conditioning and the option to cook. The hosts were lovely too. My only reason for giving four stars is that the bed felt a bit hard.
