Volidiera Guesthouse has a warm, family-run feel from the moment you arrive. It’s a large house turned into a small hotel, with pleasant rooms and a big lobby. Our ground-floor room faced a patch of greenery where we could sit or dry our things after swimming. The air conditioning and internet both worked well. Breakfast came out at 9 each morning. There wasn’t a huge selection, but the usual basics were there: yogurt, sandwiches, cheese, fruit, and baked goods, so it was perfectly fine. The grounds are spacious, with a lovely garden and olive trees. The pool is about 50m from the house and tucked among trees, which made it feel especially comfortable when it was quiet. We had it entirely to ourselves three times. This is a very relaxing place for a slow, peaceful holiday. It’s also well placed, about 8 minutes from town, with plenty of nice beaches 10-30 minutes away. You’ll need a car here, but that gives you lots of places to reach in under 30 minutes.

I slept incredibly well, and the breakfast was delicious. The coffee was mild, and I really liked the relaxed atmosphere. Our host was wonderful too. We ended up using the pool more than expected, especially since the popular beaches can get busy with cars on weekends. They weren’t packed, but there was definitely traffic. A weekend afternoon by the pool is just right. I’m looking forward to coming back!

The location, gardens, pool, rooms, and owners all made this place special. We were there for seven nights, and it felt far too short. From arrival to departure, the atmosphere was tranquil, warm, and beautiful, almost like being at home. The eclectic decor made each day feel a little different. Breakfast was delicious every morning, with a different egg style each day. The rooms were comfortable and very clean, and the family running it were friendly, helpful, and informative. I have nothing but praise for this place.

Everything was comfortable, and I have no complaints. The rooms were good, with lovely traditional balconies. The mother and daughter who run the place were friendly. Breakfast was traditional, with yoghurt, honey, jams, pastries, and more. The pool was good too, and the setting in the hills was nice and quiet.
