We’ve stayed three times and will be back. It’s a handy base for the old town and harbour of Chios, as well as for exploring the rest of the island. The place is clean and comfortable, with nice design details, friendly hosts, and parking.

Angelika felt like a true angel to us. She was helpful and hospitable from the start of our stay to the very end, and made us feel as if we were visiting friends or relatives. She even drove us to the ferry port at 7am. The studios are beautiful, with a typical Greek style to the architecture. The antique details really catch your eye as soon as you enter, and the rooms are stylish and comfortable. We left our son's sleeping buddy, a soft Panda he’d had since he was 1 month old, in the room. Angelika went to great effort to send it across by ferry to Cesme/ Turkey. I feel like I have a friend in Chios. Homeric Poem and Angelika will be waiting to give you a wonderful experience on this beautiful Greek island. Simply wonderful!

The hosts were two of the nicest and most helpful people I’ve met. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and they were glad to help with anything we needed. It’s right in the city center, though finding a parking spot there can be difficult. When possible, the hosts will save you a space right in front. If not, there’s a large, easy-to-reach free car park about a five-minute walk away, near the intersection of Genova and Keniti streets. You don’t have to squeeze your car down tiny streets to get there.

I stayed in this apartment in July 2017 and left as soon as I could get dressed. My friend had been sleeping on a sofa bed for over a week, so I emailed the managers to ask when the spare bed would arrive. We’d been promised two beds, and since we were staying for three weeks, I thought it was reasonable to ask. The manager let herself into the apartment while I was in the shower, without an invitation, then screamed at me while I stood there in a towel. She tried to argue with me as I showered and waited for me to come out so she could carry on ranting. I was shocked. She also made personal insults, including comments about me not being married and not having children, even though she knew nothing about my personal life. It was entirely irrelevant and completely unprofessional. The apartment was also not clean. The owner keeps a cat in a cleaning cupboard on the landing at night, and I could hear it scratching and trying to get out. The litter tray smell reached the bedroom. The bins, including the toilet bin, were changed infrequently. The toilet was broken and the shower was dirty. I’ve never written a review before, but this experience was awful. The manager was volatile and aggressive, and the cleaning was poor. I wouldn’t book this accommodation.
