Amo Golden Suites

We’ve just wrapped up a wonderful vacation at Amo. Breakfast costs extra, but it’s worth ordering: good quality, simple portions, and tasty. The only small thing that could be better is the coffee. We really have nothing negative to say.

We spent a relaxing holiday at Amo Golden Suites, with beach walks, sea views, sunsets, and local food. Our beachfront villa had two bedrooms, a private pool, a roomy terrace with a nice sea view, and a patio with sunbeds around the pool. We couldn’t use the pool because the water was cold. The sea was cold in May too, which we expected. We visited at the beginning of May 2025, before the summer season opened, so the area was quiet. The location, interior design, sea view, breakfast, and service were all excellent. Eleni and her husband gave us a warm welcome, privacy, delicious breakfast, and extra care. Eleni was always checking that we were comfortable and had what we needed, including coffee, food, drinks, and cleaning. We felt special, almost like part of the family. Thank you, Eleni. We hope to see you again!

The property is right in the middle of picture-perfect Golden Beach, and the rooms are smartly arranged and nicely decorated. Breakfast was delicious, with most of it homemade. But the reason Amo went from a solid five stars to a six out of five for me was the hostess, Eleni. From the moment we arrived, she treated us like family and made sure our holiday was easy and relaxing. The government should make her an ambassador of Greek hospitality! Well done, Eleni and Kostas, you’re true pros.

The host, Elena, is lovely and ready to help whenever you need her. These beautifully designed, new houses on Golden Beach in Thasos have a wonderful view of the shore and sea. The architecture is so well thought out that you hardly need AC. At night, you can feel the sea breeze and fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Everything is tasteful. I highly recommend Amo Golden Suites and am pretty sure I’ll book again.
