Hotel Dionysos

The staff made our stay especially enjoyable. They were friendly and attentive, made us feel welcome, and suggested great places to visit and things to do around Thasos. Breakfast had everything we needed, and our spotless, nicely decorated sea-view room felt peaceful and relaxing. Waking up to that view each morning was breathtaking. We had three perfect nights at Hotel Dionysos and would highly recommend it for a getaway in Thasos.

The balcony view across the whole bay was the best part of our August 2022 stay. Breakfasts were very good, and the staff helped us arrange trips and even lent us a beach umbrella. Our room was clean and tidy, with a modern bathroom and air conditioning that helped us cope with the heat. The staff made our Greek holiday unforgettable, thank you all so much ❤️😍

We had lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant, and every meal was absolutely perfect. The hotel also has a nice pool with a great view. Our top-floor room was simple, clean, quiet, and spacious, with a wonderful view from the balcony, which had a table and two chairs. There are more than 100 stairs to climb because there's no elevator, but the view made it worthwhile. Breakfast was good, with feta, ham, another cheese, boiled or scrambled eggs, at least two kinds of pastry, juice, coffee, fresh milk, honey, jam, oatmeal, white yogurt, and more. I would have liked more fruit and vegetables. The only vegetables were tomatoes, cucumbers, and black olives in olive oil.

The hill is quite steep, so getting up to the hotel gives you a workout, but the view makes it worth it. We liked the relaxing pool area, though children under 14 need supervision in the pool. The rooms are simple, without extras, and cleaning was mixed but mostly okay. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was basic but nice, and lunch and dinner at the restaurant were really good. I think it's the best food at Golden Beach.
