Iliovasilema Apartments

Iliovaselima Apartments is in the Elafonisi area. We stayed in apartment #1, which has a south and west facing balcony with sensational views. Clear weather makes for breathtaking sunsets. The balcony has a closed fence, but there's no total privacy if guests are in apt #2. The photos on Booking.Com do the apartment justice. There was plenty of room for two adults, modern facilities, and all the amenities we needed to eat in and relax. The owner and host left fruit, cookies, water, and tea to get us started for our five-night stay. Picking up the entrance key was easy, the A.C. was quiet, and hot water never ran out in the kitchen or bathroom. Our host was responsive and easy to reach by text through BOOKING.COM messaging, though we would have liked more live communication. It was still adequate. The host's mother, who has the whole lower part of the complex, brought us some cooked Cretan food and was the sweetest person. If you speak Greek, she'll certainly give you an earful of appreciation and welcome. Parking was very easy and convenient, and the area seemed safe, with very few neighbours nearby. Having a car puts a convenience store two minutes away, Elafonissi beach in 10 minutes, Kedrodasos beach five minutes farther, and White Lake beach, a secluded lagoon, five minutes away. It's also only a short hop to three very decent restaurants: Kosmos fish tavern, Glykeria’s, and Aerino’s bar café. With a car, Iliovasilema apt. is a very good place to consider.
