BOHOTEL Messonghi - Designer's Hotel

We went last year as two couples and had a fantastic time. The reception staff were especially helpful when our friends found their original double room a bit small. They quickly arranged a complimentary upgrade to a double room with a pool view. Messonghi and Moraitika worked really well as a base. Shops, tavernas, and the beach are all within walking distance, and Corfu Town is about 20 minutes away. Parking at the hotel was spacious and easy, which was a relief with our rental car. Our suite was next to the pool, so we spent lovely evenings at the bar having cocktails. The double-sided mattress was incredibly comfortable, and housekeeping brought fresh towels and sheets every day. Breakfast was a highlight, especially the Greek options, with plenty for vegetarians. The halva and bougatsa were delicious and authentic. Dinner made good use of local ingredients and traditional Corfiot recipes, so it felt like a real taste of the island.

Messongi has what you need, including good places to eat like Rose Garden, with plenty more options a short drive away. The hotel is beautifully done in a boho style, and the stone bathtub in our room was a lovely detail. We were close to several gorgeous beaches. Halikounas was my favorite, though there are lots of others to explore. The bathroom door didn't close properly when we first arrived, but the receptionist sorted it out promptly. I'd come back.

The service was brilliant, and the hotel has a cosy feel with boutique style. We liked having free parking, especially after Athens, where you have to pay everywhere. The food was good, though the all-day menu could use more variety.
