Katerina-Studios & Apartments

I stayed 20 nights in August and September 2023 in studio 14, which has a balcony. The location in Sidari was more or less fine, not far from the beach, and there were plenty of places to park. The internet connection was very good, and the owner or janitor was approachable. But I can’t recommend the accommodation. The room only got a clean at the beginning, and even then it wasn’t thorough. The apartment was dirty despite the old interior not being a problem in itself. There was mold on the outside of the fridge and dirt in its seal. We moved the bed and found a potato chip behind it. It was still on the floor 20 days later, even though we saw that staff had been in the room. There was mold in the shower and between the tiles. The sink and kitchen counter were in bad shape, waterlogged and moldy. Opening the cabinet under the sink brought a strong mold smell, totally disgusting. They hadn’t even swept the balcony, and there were no mosquito nets on the windows. Sidari was loud for me. Music from bars went on late, then neighbors returning from the bars kept us awake. At the beaches, two sunbeds and an umbrella cost 15-20 euros, which I found expensive compared with last year, when two frappes got us the sunbeds and umbrella at a different spot on Corfu. You can spend what you pay for the umbrella at the beach bar. The beach is sandy with shallow water, but I found swimming boring.

The room was very dirty, especially the bathroom. They hadn’t bothered to clean the house. We asked for the cleaner, and the owner sent someone who still didn’t clean it, so we got the cleaning products and cleaned the whole place ourselves. See the photos.

It was an awful stay. The water was yellow, the towels and bed linen were dirty, and the shower didn’t work. I hope nobody stays at these apartments again.
