Lena Mare Boutique Hotel

The pool was one of our favourite places, with a lovely, relaxing feel, and the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and newly renovated. Lena Mare also makes a great base for couples. The beach is about a five-minute walk away, with shops and restaurants close by. We had a wonderful stay. The view was stunning, and every dish we tried was delicious. We'd definitely return.

I had a roomy junior suite with a fantastic sunset view. The staff were really nice, and the hotel has two pools and a gym. Breakfast was fresh, healthy, and very good. I only wish they'd refilled the Nespresso capsules during my stay. I also asked to have water bottles replenished in the minibar, but that never happened.

The restaurant was a frustrating experience. Several menu options weren't available because, the waiter said, it was peak season. I asked for a simple side-dish change because of an allergy, but they couldn't do it, so I ended up eating a sea bass fillet with no sides. Our beer and white wine arrived after we'd finished eating. Dinner for two cost about 70 euro. The suite itself needs renovation. Although it had a kitchen, there were no pans, so it wasn't useful for cooking, and the place was dusty. The bathroom window faced a staircase, leaving us feeling exposed while showering. The wooden bed creaked whenever we moved at night. With a stroller, reaching the room near the pool was awkward because we had to zigzag between sunbeds and the pool. We raised these issues at reception, but got the impression nobody cared, which was frustrating. For two nights for two adults and a baby, we paid 520 plus tourist taxes and dinners. It wasn't worth it. This isn't a boutique hotel, and I wouldn't recommend it.

Even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. The rooms feel brand new, are very comfortable, and have a great bed. The staff are super friendly, and the location is ideal for exploring the north of the island. Fully recommend it!
