It’s a peaceful place to walk around and take in a beautiful panoramic view of the city. The fortress costs 5 euros, which seems fair, and there are discounts for different categories of people. I recommend visiting if you’re in Corfu.

Corfu's New Fortress feels like a hidden gem, with tunnels, stone arches, and imposing Venetian walls to explore. From the top, the panoramic views over the old town and harbor are breathtaking. It’s less crowded and has a magical feel.

We had to wait a while because filming was taking place and the area was closed off. Once we could climb up, the views from the top were spectacular, and the weather was just right for it.

The Castle of Corfu 😉 is an interesting historic place. Maybe it could be maintained a little better 🤔

The best part is the view over the old town, the sea, and nearby Vidos. Much of the fortress is closed, though you can look inside a few rooms and cool off while wandering around. We visited in the July heat, and the climb took about eight minutes, with some inclines. It wasn't too bad in the morning, but I'd be careful coming back down because the slopes can be slippery. Adults paid €5 and kids went free. Definitely worth it for those views.
