The pork souvlaki was amazing. The couple serving us were really sweet and lovely, and the food was so good.

We only stopped for lunch, so I can’t say anything about the rooms. The place wasn’t quite open yet, but a shy, lovely woman asked if we wanted to eat. She explained that her husband handled the grill, so those dishes weren’t available, though we could try food she’d prepared ahead of service. We had giant beans with a lovely texture and mix of flavors, excellent roast chicken and potatoes, and a wonderfully flavorful moussaka. It was the best meal we had in Greece. Prices were fair, and the owner was lovely. We’d stumbled on a very cozy, unassuming spot.

We stayed at Tassos Rooms for a few days in 2017, and what stuck with me most was how open and friendly the owners were. This charming, affectionate couple made conversation easily and helped us feel at home, even speaking with us in our native Italian. Their company and hospitality made the trip. I’d strongly recommend staying here when visiting ancient Corinth.

After an overnight nine-hour flight, getting here from Athens airport was an easy drive. They kindly had our room ready by noon, so we could nap before a lovely lunch of roast chicken and potatoes, Greek salad, bread, and good wine. It was a good overnight stay with good food, just minutes from the old city and main tourist area.

I had the chicken, cooked in a sauce with a hint of wine and mustard. It was excellent quality and really well done, a very good Greek food experience.
