Villa Chnaris - Private Pool and Sauna

The pool was a good size and worked well for families. The villa was superb, with well-kept ensuite rooms that had plenty of space. We had an excellent holiday and the service was excellent too.

We did have one frustration: the internet connection didn't work the way we'd hoped. Otherwise, Chnaris Villa made for a memorable family holiday, and we'd love to return to Crete. The 5-bedroom place gave our group of nine adults and two toddlers plenty of room, with a bathroom for every bedroom, a roomy living room, and two dining tables so we could all eat together. The kitchen had what we needed, including plastic plates and cutlery for the kids. The pool is small and felt a little snug for our group, but it was refreshing, and the toddlers loved the little play area. We also enjoyed the barbecue, gym, and pool table. The owner had left water, yogurt for the children, cakes, and fresh fruit for us. They also provided a baby cot and two high chairs, and were available and prompt whenever we had questions or needed help. A supermarket and restaurants are just a five-minute drive away. We especially liked Opaka Restaurant, which had tasty food at affordable prices and delivered to the villa. Panormos is about 15 minutes away, with a beach and places to eat and shop. We also drove to Heraklion and Chania, each about 1 to 1.5 hours away, and got to see more of Crete's scenery and culture.

George gave us a lovely welcome, and the snack he had ready was delicious. The villa was huge, clean, and beautiful, just right for a family or a big group. We had a terrific six-night stay and would recommend it to everyone. Greetings from Myra and family.

We spent a great time here with nine people. The house has five large bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, plus a lovely main pool and a small one for children. We made pizzas outside, enjoyed the BBQ, and got plenty of use out of the pool and ping-pong tables. Someone came on Wednesday to clean and leave fresh towels, and we'd certainly recommend the place. It is down a secluded street, though, with a good affordable restaurant, a supermarket, and a delicious ice cream and chocolate shop nearby.
