Rivendell Apartments

We felt at home in this friendly place and were looked after like family. Nothing was too much trouble, and we had a wonderful time. The restaurant is excellent. Aglaia's famous Mousaka is the best 'in the world' by far, and you should try the milk pudding too. The apartments sit off the main road, with quiet lanes leading out toward the sea. We loved having the friendly cats and dogs around. Highly recommended. Thank you, 'The Girls'

The owner and staff were friendly, and the location is good. But the photos are old and no longer show what the place is really like. The apartment was old and rusty throughout, and it smelled like a septic tank for the whole week we stayed. Also, the listing didn’t mention that the AC would cost 6 euro/night.

The restaurant served tasty traditional food all day, and it was very affordable. We loved the pool, with its hammocks and sunbeds, and the surroundings were beautiful. The apartments were clean, too. We stayed for a week and felt at ease from the moment we arrived. Nick and his lovely wife were so welcoming and friendly that we quickly formed a lovely bond with them. I’ll definitely come back.

The apartments were clean, roomy, and had everything we needed for a self-catering stay, including a nice outdoor spot for meals. We didn’t have to cook every day either, the on-site restaurant serves lovely food made with care by chef and owner Aglaiga. I’m vegan and they happily catered for me. Nothing was a problem, and the vegan pizza was fab. Five stars for the restaurant! It’s a peaceful country setting, tucked away in a really pretty part of the island, but easy to reach other areas by car or motorbike. Nick and Aglaia were the real highlight for us. They’re wonderful, friendly hosts, and we feel we’ve made friends for life. We’ll certainly be back.
