Paxos is a lovely island, and Loggos is a favorite of ours for its picturesque harbor, bars, and tavernas. This will be our third stay at Villa Thalassa, which is secluded and has lovely sea views, yet is still a pleasant 15 minute walk from Loggos via the donkey steps. We also like Lakka, just a short drive away. Thalassa matches its website description and is well equipped and maintained. We often have the little beach below the villa to ourselves for a pre-breakfast swim. George and his family are friendly and helpful, and we find it hard to fault anything about the place. We’d happily recommend it to friends and family.

Those two summer visits, in 2012 and again in 2013, were the first time we’d gone back to the same holiday destination two years in a row. Villa Thalassa was that good. It’s an easy and very reasonably priced trip to Paxos by hydrofoil from Corfu, too. Our family came away with so many happy memories that it’s hard to know where to start. The villa is gorgeous and in a superb spot. It feels like a real home from home, with a private pool and patio for lazy days. We still treasure the warm, balmy weather and magical sunsets, and the views from the pool and balconies across the olive grove, down to the beach and out to sea, with boats bobbing by. ‘VT’ feels secluded without being remote. The picturesque little harbour community of Loggos is only 10-15 minutes away on foot. George, the villa owner, and his extremely kind and helpful family gave us a warm welcome, as did the restaurants and shopkeepers around the island. If you’re unsure, have a look at our notes in the villa visitors book. As people in advertising say, book early to avoid disappointment. Enjoy!
