We didn’t stay, and the money felt wasted. I’d give the place half a star if I could. It smelled so bad it made me gag, and the rooms and common areas looked as neglected as the cater’s incapacitated state, who could barely walk. The place wasn’t fit for mice. The owner also needs to put money back into the business. You can’t just take and take while the property falls apart. The rest of the island’s residents, shops, restaurants and hotels take pride in their places, but not you. If you’re already depressed, staying here could push you over the edge. We went to Elafoniso Resort instead and let out a deep sigh of relief. We paid nearly the same and found it new, clean and friendly, truly clean enough to eat off the floor. As a mother, my children’s welfare comes first.

It’s affordable, quiet and clean, with simple rooms that have AC and a fridge. The beach is just a one-minute walk away. The place is a bit rustic, but the whole island is like that. The people here are genuine and kind, and made our stay. We’d stay here again and again.

The room was modest, with old but renovated furniture. Wi-Fi only worked on the terrace, not in the room, and there was no parking. The location, though, is perfect.

The stay was disappointing and nowhere near worth €90 a night. The air conditioning didn’t work, and the portable unit they brought us wasn’t enough, so we were basically boiling. There was no hot water, the freezer was broken, and the place wasn’t clean enough. Cat hairs on the courtyard pillows were completely unacceptable. Overall, it was a bad experience, and the accommodation didn’t meet the price or our expectations.
