Elounda Palm

Our private-pool suite was comfortable and spacious, with a lovely view over the sea. The seawater pool was quite cold, though, and it seems a shame when eco-friendly heating would be easy to arrange. The terrace stayed shaded for much of the day, which is welcome in midsummer but less so in October. It would also be helpful to keep an unfinished bottle of wine for the next evening. The hotel is peaceful and stylish, with plenty of space across the grounds and palm trees giving it a warm feel. It’s beautifully decorated and maintained. Buffet meals were fresh, good quality, and had plenty of choice for this kind of hotel, though they didn’t have the charm of a small family taverna.

My friend and I had a wonderful recent holiday at Elounda Palm Hotel. Our light, airy superior bungalow was superb and serviced to a very high standard each day. The food was excellent, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was prompt and professional. Nothing to criticise, only praise. We plan to return next year. Mornings by the private pool were a highlight, with coffee on the terrace, turquoise water, and a beautiful sea view. We also loved watching the sunset over the bay. Our two-bedroom family suite was spotless, elegant, and thoughtfully put together, with comfortable beds, soft lighting, and little touches that made it relaxing. The hotel grounds were lovely, with palms, flowers, and well-kept gardens. The architecture is beautiful, and the atmosphere stays tranquil. The main pool and lounge areas felt stylish but relaxed. Breakfast had lots of choice, including fruit, pastries, and Greek specialties, all nicely presented. The staff were kind, attentive, and always ready to help. From the warm welcome at arrival, we felt at home while enjoying a bit of luxury. Elounda Palm Hotel & Suites brings together elegance, peace, and genuine hospitality, and our stay was unforgettable. We’re already thinking about coming back. For a visit to Crete with luxury, quiet, and authenticity, this place was perfect.

We stayed here at the end of our Crete trip. It was described as 3 stars when we booked, but to me it’s easily at least 4. The pool was a good size and uses salt water, though watch out for the steps, they can catch you by surprise. Breakfast had great choices, and all the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
