We stumbled across this absolute gem, and I'm so glad we stayed. The windmill was lovely to stay in, and the delicious breakfast was included and available whenever suited us. We had great chats and fun at the bar, day and night. George is at the heart of the place, and what a team: always ready to help, with everything spotlessly clean and comfortable. It was the highlight of our 18 days in Crete. Highly recommend. Helen and John Nottingham England

The Windmill is a lovely, quirky room with everything you need. George is a fantastic host and made us feel so welcome, and the breakfast was amazing. Hilda is the sweetest, and Chrissy is such a lovely lady. Absolutely first class, and we'll definitely visit again!

If you're after an all-inclusive hotel with flunkies, this isn't the place for you. I've visited 23 times in 25 years. It's basic and clean, with a brilliant owner and staff, about 400 yards from the sea. It's Greece: the weather is superb, the village and little town are ace, and you can eat the food without anyone putting out a hand asking for a tip. Step outside your comfort zone and give it a try. Life's not about rigid rules. Get out and grab it. Mike Collins.

The warm welcome and family feel from the staff made this holiday a real treat. The hotel is clean, well equipped, and well located, and the pool and bar are great. One of the best holidays I've ever had. We'll be back!

The views are beautiful, and the place itself is lovely. George, the owner, has a great personality, and Maria at the bar was so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.
