Aristide Hotel Syros

The bar is the standout here. Konstantinos is an outstanding mixologist, and his cocktails are some of the best I’ve had anywhere. He clearly loves his work and is happy to explain it, so I’d recommend spending time chatting with him about how he makes the drinks. It’s fascinating. The hotel itself is great too. The building is beautiful, the rooms are fantastic, especially those with plunge pools, and the location is an easy walk to the town center while staying just outside the bustle. The staff are warm, friendly, helpful, and attentive. Service is top-notch. Breakfast is really good, and the dinner menu is small but delicious. The rooftop is a fun spot for drinks and dinner. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

The hotel is only a few minutes’ walk from the sea, and a swim in the morning before breakfast became the perfect way to start the day. The port area, with most of the shops and restaurants, is a pleasant 10-15 minute stroll away. This was my second stay at Aristide, and I hope to return many more times. It’s a beautiful place full of fascinating art, with individually curated rooms, a peaceful garden, a fun bar serving delicious cocktails, and a chic rooftop restaurant with lovely views and interesting food. The staff are lovely and attentive, and the service couldn’t have been better. I’m already looking forward to coming back.

I was travelling solo, and the staff took extra care to make me feel welcome. They were amazing and couldn’t do enough to help. This is an incredible boutique hotel where everything feels artfully done, from the rooms to the food and expertly made cocktails. There are two lovely outdoor terraces, with great views for breakfast or dinner. It’s a short walk into Ermoupoli, where there are lots of good shops. Syros is a beautiful island, and this would make a perfect honeymoon hotel. I absolutely loved it.

The team were warm, attentive, and exceptionally helpful. Their personal tips made exploring the island even more rewarding. We didn’t get to the rooftop restaurant, but breakfast on the quiet side patio was delicious, and the bar staff were welcoming and knew their stuff. Every afternoon there were freshly baked treats, and each one was excellent. Our stay at The Aristide was a highlight of our recent Greek trip. Art is thoughtfully displayed throughout the common areas and rooms, giving the whole place a distinctive charm. The location sits above the Aegean, a few minutes’ walk from the water for a swim and a 10-15 minute stroll from the port area, with its mix of shops, restaurants, and glimpses of local life. We had the Kapadriti Suite, which was spacious and quiet. Its bathroom had nearly every personal care product imaginable, and the private patio had a plunge pool and a cozy outdoor area. It was great for relaxing in the daytime or enjoying local food in the evening, like Greek cheeses from a nearby shop. We’d wholeheartedly recommend this retreat for its refined design, artistic feel, and warm, intuitive hospitality.
