The rooms were lovely, and having a kitchenette was a nice bonus. We enjoyed the pool, especially with such a lovely attendant, and the views were beautiful. There’s a cafe close by and it’s a pleasant walk down to the port.

Our basic room looked out over the mountains and sea, and there’s also a pool with views of the surrounding hills. Service was friendly, and the staff spoke perfect English. The hotel is a few kilometers from the port, where the restaurants and bars are.

The local beach was a real highlight. It’s wild and not commercialized, so bring your own shade. The walk there through bamboo and vegetable gardens is lovely. Even when the waves are big, there’s a safe place to enter the water by the boat jetty on the left; on calm days, the sandy entry and clear water are great. There’s also a decent cafe at the top of the stairs on the beach’s left side for a freddo. The hotel is cute, clean and boutique-style, arranged dramatically on a steep slope near an almost empty beach. Our room didn’t have much clothes storage, just two underwear drawers and one high shelf in a huge cupboard. The five flights of outdoor stairs in the sun felt daunting at first, until we found the elevators. Oddly enough, all that daily climbing had fixed my two bad knees by the end of the stay.

Great view, and it’s a clean, nice hotel. There’s a pool where you can relax with a cocktail, plus a restaurant with good prices. Our room’s bathroom was small, as were the windows.
