Elion Seaside Resort

The rooms were okay, but the restaurant was the biggest letdown: breakfast and dinner were cold across the board, from eggs and potatoes to fish and meat. For a hotel categorized as five-star, the food selection felt more like three-star, with little choice and no yogurt or milk. The pool was so crowded it was hard to get near, and nobody stopped children from jumping in or throwing balls. Parking may also be a problem. Sharing this in case it helps future guests decide whether to stay.

For €300 a night, I expected far more. The place felt like a poorly renovated 1970s resort, and the Google and booking.com photos didn't match what we found. Used shampoo and hand cream bottles were left in the room, the sheets weren't changed for three days even after I asked reception, the jacuzzi didn't work properly, and the toilet seat was broken. The balcony was dirty, with rusty railings, and the restaurant looked like a university cafeteria. Meals were poor and options limited, and the staff came across as arrogant. It felt worth under €100 a night. Avoid it.

There isn't enough hotel parking, so guests leave their cars on the street outside. We found scratches on both the front and rear windshields, and the hotel apparently has no cameras. When we complained, the employees were unpleasant and unresponsive, and their English was very limited. Be careful, or at least insist on getting a parking spot inside the hotel.

We recently stopped by to see the hotel, and it didn't seem quite ready for full operation. The beach area is especially small, which is a letdown for a seaside place. A room with its own pool seems like the better choice and can make up for some of the current shortcomings.
