Kritikies Elaia

The hosts insisted the cleaning had been done, even though the photos clearly showed otherwise. They need to take responsibility for the quality they provide. We didn’t want to damage their reputation, since every other place we stayed in Crete was clean, but this one was the only accommodation where we had problems. The stay and the hosts’ response were both very disappointing, and I absolutely don’t recommend it. We were meant to stay two nights in the second-floor apartment, but left after one. The air conditioning didn’t cool even when set to 16°C. The toilets were clogged and drained poorly, the oven was dirty, and the shower drained so slowly that we stood in water. There was also a foul smell in the bathroom and an obvious lack of maintenance in the ventilation system, as the attached photos show. As someone with allergies, I couldn’t accept sleeping in conditions that were so poorly maintained.
