The pool area is beautiful, and the hotel is very quiet and peaceful, which I appreciated even though I’m not much for pools or the beach. It’s not far from the sea, with free parking and a nice breakfast. The room was clean, and the AC, TV, and shower all worked well. My one concern was a staff member coming up to me while I was lying by the pool to ask if I was staying here. I said, why else would I be here? He then asked for my room number and walked away. He didn’t ask anyone else. I’d have liked not to feel profiled.

The rooms were modern and clean, and Matala was easy to get to. There’s parking on site, plus a lovely breakfast and a nice pool and bar area. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Great hotel.

The pool was clean, really good, and we made lots of use of it. It’s only a short walk to shops, cafes, and the beach, which worked perfectly for us. We stayed two nights and were impressed by the whole place. The staff were so friendly, the room very clean, and the breakfast beautiful. Highly recommended, and thank you!

What made the day unforgettable was how genuinely warm and friendly the team were. They cared about making our wedding special, and the service from every staff member was outstanding. I had the pleasure of holding my wedding at Matala, and I couldn’t be happier. From the first planning conversations through to the big day, the staff were attentive and involved in every detail, making everything seamless. They were happy to work with our specific requests and preferences. The preparations and coordination were so meticulous that the day ran like clockwork. I’m immensely grateful to Matala Bay Hotel. If you’re looking for a venue with professionalism, elegance, and a personal touch, I highly recommend Matala. Our wedding was a dream come true thanks to this wonderful team.

Breakfast had an excellent range of fresh food, and there’s a large swimming pool. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The TV didn’t work, and the plumbing was a little noisy at times, just minor issues. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and only a short walk from the bay and beachfront.
