It’s a quiet spot on the edge of town, near nature, and the beach is about a 10-minute walk away. The pool and bar are nice, and the owner really makes you feel at home. It’s a lovely family hotel with a great host. The rooms aren’t luxurious, but they’re clean. I’d recommend it.

I come to Matala often because I love its one-of-a-kind energy, and it’s close to Heraklion where I live. This was my first stay at Orama and I’m completely in love with the place. The rooms have been refurbished, the shower is great, and the views stretch to the mountains. The pool looked brand new, though it wasn’t open yet since it was early in the season. Really good breakfast and a lovely host too. I was so pleased 🩵🩷💜💛

We had a great holiday with the Matala vibe all around us. Hotel Orama is a typical Greek place, warm, friendly and genuine. Mr. Stellios is a professional, excellent host who makes sure guests are comfortable. The location is ideal, near both the centre and the beach. Breakfast is simple but fresh and tasty, and housekeeping did a really good job. I’d recommend Orama Matala hotel to easy-going, open-minded travelers. I’ll visit again. Thomas and family

The pool was so lovely and clean, I could have stayed in it for hours. The owner is exceptionally welcoming, and you can park inside. Rooms are comfortable and clean, breakfast is good, and Matala beach is an easy walk. I’m sure we’ll be back!
