The standout for me was breakfast, with excellent quality food ordered from a menu, almost like eating in a restaurant. The guesthouse is lovely, carefully kept, and managed by an owner who offered a very high level of service for a really good price. Its position on the main road makes it easy to reach, yet it's only a short walk from the center of Pitsidia. There's also a private, locked car park with access around the clock. My recently renovated room had the comforts you'd expect from a hotel in this category. It even had a little terrace overlooking the inner garden, where a sweet kitten took refuge at night. The four-poster bed with its mosquito net curtain wasn't really my thing.

Kirsten made our stay at Pension Aretoussa feel warm and relaxing. The rooms, shared spaces, and breakfasts all added to that welcoming, comfortable atmosphere. She was also thoughtful and incredibly helpful, going above and beyond with local knowledge and practical assistance. It's a wonderful place to stay in Pitsidia, and I'll choose it again when I return.

Breakfast was freshly made every morning, and there are some very good restaurants within a five-minute walk. The old square is worth a visit for an evening meal. This is a charming traditional pension in a peaceful part of the old village of Petsidi, with a friendly, helpful owner and clean rooms fitted with air conditioning and mosquito nets if needed. Matala and Komos beach are nearby, and paralia kalamaki is lovely too. I'd definitely recommend it.
