Matala is a fantastic location for this hotel, and the staff were friendly. We stayed three nights in September. The rooms are a bit small but fine, and the pool is great. There’s a staffed bar during its opening hours, though it’s small and there isn’t much space to lounge around it. It wasn’t busy during our visit, but I doubt it would feel the same in peak season. We often got cigarette smoke coming through the bathroom, even after the towels were changed, and we don’t smoke. Breakfast was acceptable, but drinks cost a lot extra.

For the price, I think this place deserves five stars. The staff were friendly, and the rooms, though small and cozy, were kept tidy and cleaned daily. There’s a nice pool and a lovely backyard, and the sea is only a two-minute walk away. A supermarket right across the street sells almost everything you need at reasonable prices. Breakfast could be better. The menu was pretty limited, though we could still put together a decent morning meal.

The bar prices were reasonable and the rooms were clean. Great location, and the first-floor rooms have really big balconies.

I booked directly with the hotel that afternoon and was very happy with the room. It wasn’t fancy, but the bed was comfortable, and there was a fridge and air conditioning, which I didn’t need because the nighttime breeze was so nice. Breakfast was included, fresh, and delicious. I’d recommend it to friends and stay again. The location is excellent, right in Matala’s main area beside the beach parking lot. My balcony had a perfect view of the beach and Matala caves.
