Olive Tree

It’s lovely and cozy around the pool, and children are welcome to use it whenever they like. The hotel is in a very quiet area, where all you hear are the crickets. We also enjoyed the clean, spacious, well-equipped rooms, with a balcony facing the ocean and a sitting area with a mountain view. There are books to read in several languages. The friendly, homey feel made our stay easy. Staff were very helpful with advice for booked or self-organized trips, and suggestions for beaches and restaurants. We highly recommend it. Thank you very much.

Ms. Eleni works incredibly hard, and it shows in how spotless the rooms and property are. I enjoyed chatting and spending time with her. She’s sweet, helpful, genuinely invested in each guest’s experience at the property and around Kissamos, and knows the area well, with great suggestions and recommendations. Mr Kostas was easy to reach and always available. I arrived after hours, but check-in was organized and professional. The place was peaceful, with fantastic views, a huge accommodation, easy parking and a great location for activities on the West Side of the island. I’ll return to Crete just to stay here again. 10/10, 5 stars, perfection!

We stayed 3 days at Olive Tree Apartments at the beginning of June, and would love to return. It’s close to Balos Beach, Fallassarna and Elafonnissi Beach, with quiet, peaceful surroundings, a very nice view and a swimming pool. The accommodation was excellent and the hosts were friendly.

Kaliviani is a quiet village, and this place worked really well for our family. The rooms are big, there’s a pool and a free baby cot, and the kitchen has what you need, except maybe a microwave. But you’re on holiday, so who needs microwavable food? The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the manager. There’s a nearby beach we haven’t visited yet, and the famous Balos lagoon is a short drive away. The downside is that the rooms aren’t very soundproof. You can hear people talking and moving chairs upstairs. I’m an anxious sleeper, though, and even a fly’s fart can wake me 😉 For the price, I can definitely recommend it.
