Apollo Beach Hotel

A great choice for a family getaway with kids, especially in the off season. Dinner and breakfast were included each night and very well priced. Our room was spectacular, with a balcony, and the grassy day beds are a clever idea since you don't get sand on them. The gym was very clean and well maintained, with all new equipment. Bus number 40 goes straight to old town in only 20 minutes, which worked perfectly for us.

We arrived at the start of the season, in the first week of April, when the hotel was still fairly quiet. It filled up over the next few days, while local shops and beaches were just beginning to open for the season. The covered parking was a big plus, especially for the hot summer months, and there was plenty of it. Our half-board meals were varied and tasty, with lots of options. Just be aware that tap water is the only drink included at dinner; other drinks cost extra. The staff were kind and helpful throughout, and the hotel was very clean. Our cosy, well-maintained room had a kettle, mugs, tea and coffee, a small empty fridge and a hairdryer. A relaxing, comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

The beachfront area was lovely, with green grass that stayed cool instead of heating up like sand. The location was great too. I stayed five nights with breakfast only, and everyone from reception to housekeeping was a 10/10, so friendly and lovely. The hotel even treated us to a complimentary dinner.

The evening atmosphere was really enjoyable, and the rooms were quiet enough for a relaxing holiday. They were nice, kept clean and very close to the beach. The food had plenty of variety, the staff were friendly, the outdoor pool was beautiful and spotless, and the bar drinks were decent. A young woman from the Netherlands who worked with the little children during the day and hosted the mini disco in the evenings really stood out. She was patient, kind and warm with the kids. I was there with my 2-year-old daughter, who sometimes made a mess and threw toys around, but this woman was so sweet with her, played along and entered her world. She was also friendly and easy to talk to with us adults, which helped us feel welcome and comfortable.
