Venezia Luxury Living Villas, Faliraki

The air conditioning and electric shutters made for really good nights of sleep, and the little extras were thoughtful: there was a complimentary bottle of wine in the fridge, and we could buy milk and a few drinks at the hotel reception’s 24-hour shop after arriving late. A drying rack and pegs for towels came in handy too. We stayed for ten days, so having a full-size fridge with freezer was useful after our big shop at a superstore about a 15-20 minute drive away. The kitchen also had a dishwasher, washing machine and coffee machine. They left complimentary tea, coffee and pods for arrival, but we had to replenish them ourselves. The villa suited our family of four. We like having our own space and being able to try local restaurants instead of eating at the hotel every day. It’s about five minutes from central Faliraki, near shops and beaches. There are around seven units about 50 metres from the main hotel resort, and guests can use its facilities, including several pools. One thing to check carefully when booking: we thought the photos meant our villa came with a private pool, but that was an easy misunderstanding. We had a large private jacuzzi, while some units have their own swimming pool.

The outdoor areas were a real highlight, especially the pool, views, jacuzzi, barbecue and dining space. We also found the villa beautifully designed and finished with great taste, with lots of outdoor space to enjoy. It had everything we wanted apart from a dishwasher. It’s a great base for exploring the island, with lots of supermarkets within a five-minute drive. Seva welcomed us and was easy to reach by text, helpful and quick to respond. The beds were large and comfortable, and every room had air conditioning. We had a lovely, relaxing holiday.

The WiFi was really poor inside the grand master villa, and the jacuzzi was cold during our stay. I hope they fix the temperature soon, because that part needs improvement. Apart from those problems, we liked everything else a lot.

I only needed a couple of minutes to look around before going straight back to the Hotel reception to book for next year. I’ve even booked the villa next door, though they haven’t started renovating it yet. It was worth every penny, and the owner couldn’t do enough for us. Thanks, Takis, George and Sylvia. Already looking forward to next year.
