Vera Studios

The staff were always ready to help, chat and have fun, and the room was cleaned and refreshed every day. It’s easy to get places on foot, so don’t be put off by the location. The whole place has the feel of a family holiday home, and breakfast was like having what you’d eat at home, with everything you need. Loved it, and thanks to the lovely people.

The food was lovely when we ate there, and the family running the place were lovely too. The accommodation itself is very basic, with no frills and air conditioning only available as an extra. It’s at least a 20-minute walk to the centre, plus another five to the beach. You get what you pay for, so I can’t complain too much, but I’d probably only use it again if I hired a car or bike.

A quiet place with pleasant views from the rooms. Comfortable balcony chairs and a nice table, plus cutlery, bowls, dishes and a frying pan in the room, made it easy to sort out breakfast ourselves; there’s also a buffet breakfast option. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the grass around the hotel was in great shape and kept the place cool in August. The rooms were cleaned daily, and the towels and linen changed nearly every day. Management were very friendly. WiFi worked very well about 95% of the time. For the service, I’d give this hotel 10 out of 10.

The hospitality made us feel at home, and it says a lot that tourists staying there during our visit had been coming back for years. Vera Studio was ideally placed: close to great restaurants and nightlife, but tucked far enough away that we weren’t right in the middle of it. Highly recommended.
