Fig Tree

The ocean views and peaceful setting were lovely, but this villa needs much better care. Cleanliness was below average. There were cobwebs on the fireplace and inside door frame that looked old, and the kitchen cupboards were marked and hadn’t been cleaned properly. The freezer door had been left open and frozen up, so it wouldn’t shut. The kettle handle got dangerously hot. My husband burned his hand the first time, and we had to hold it with a tea towel afterward. We also had to wash some cutlery and glasses before using them. The parking area outside was messy, with lots of old leaves and figs under the tree. We tried to avoid stepping on them, but there were so many that they stuck to our shoes and made the house sticky. The downstairs shower was tiny and impractical, with water going all over the bathroom floor, often more than stayed in the tray. It needs to be at least twice the size, even a child would struggle to shower in it. We’ve just got home and I’m very disappointed. This could be a wonderful villa if it were looked after better.

The views from the property are outstanding.

A nice place.
