NOS Hotel & Villas

We were glad we chose this beautiful hotel, with its great service. At a similar price on our Greece trip, we stayed somewhere else nice too, and the comparison made NOS’s thoughtful details stand out: quality bath and personal care products, a charging setup with built-in USB and USB-C so no adapter was needed, and housekeeping promptly clearing the small amount of beach sand in the shower. They even changed the bin liner when there was just one piece of rubbish. The attention was lovely, though I did hope they might clean and maintain rooms less often for sustainability. When they learned we don’t drink, they swapped the welcome wine for delicious mocktails. The one downside was the €100 charge for round-trip port transfers, under 30 minutes by car each way. No one mentioned the price beforehand, so we only found out at checkout. Taxis on the island are very expensive, so the amount wasn’t entirely surprising, but at this hotel’s price level I’d have expected the transfer to be included, discounted, or at least clearly explained as a significant extra. Still a great stay, and I’d happily return. Next time I’ll remember to rent a car myself.

The room matched the photos really well, but what we especially liked was being able to take a boat out for sunset. John, our skipper, was very professional and kept the ride smooth even with the sea a little rough, around 3 bf. It was nice to have the option of a short trip, and it felt really refreshing.

We’d paid deposits on two rooms more than four months ahead, but the day before we arrived in Sifnos, we were told there was no room for us. We’d already rented a car and paid for the ferry from Athens. NOS didn’t even try to find similar accommodation on the island. They were cold and nonchalant about it, and basically left us stranded.

The team made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, just minutes after booking, and marked our honeymoon with thoughtful gestures. Every detail felt handled with warmth and care. The room’s lovely views, full blackout curtains and pillow bar made for the best sleep of our trip. I’ve never seen a hotel gym with a view like the semi-outdoor one here, and the equipment was top-notch. The location worked perfectly for us too, within walking distance of charming beaches, scenic trails and good local restaurants. We wish we’d stayed longer. 10/10, and we can’t wait to return.
