The room was clean, though the place felt more like an Airbnb than a hotel. It’s about a 15-minute walk to Oia. I probably wouldn’t stay again. The hotel arranged a taxi to the ferry port, and I thought it would be a private transfer. It wasn’t, though sharing with other passengers was fine. The driver, arranged through the hotel, was very rude and nearly made us miss our ferry by dropping other people at hotels first, even after we told him when our ferry was due to leave.

Mr. Sabi did his best to make us feel welcome, and we appreciated it. The place was very quiet, with a large terrace and welcome drinks in the fridge. Oia’s main streets are a 1.5 km walk away, and there’s free parking 250 m from the caves. Don’t take the car into Oia! Getting to the property wasn’t easy, with narrow streets, unpaved roads, and lots of steps.

The studio was extremely well equipped, and the staff were always smiling and very helpful. If you want a feel for local life, this is a good place to stay.
