We had a great family stay, and with five of us sharing two rooms, we’d happily come back. The rooms are a little small and could use some refurbishing, but the beach and facilities more than make up for that. Right on the beach, the resort has a lovely pool, outdoor bar, restaurant, and beautifully designed terraces. The bar food and cocktails were excellent, and the staff were friendly. You can easily spend your time at the resort without needing to go elsewhere. If you want to eat in Finikounda, it’s a 15-20 minute walk.

The beach was a highlight: crystal clear water, good snorkeling, and sandy stretches where you can walk into the sea, which is great for kids. We also enjoyed the pool. The staff were all wonderful, the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the hotel lived up to the great things we’d heard. Everything felt perfect, and we’ll be back next time we’re in Greece.

We meant to stay one night, but enjoyed it enough to extend our visit. It’s an easy walk to town, and the poolside bar made it an especially relaxed place to spend time. The hotel is family owned and run with a lot of care. Our room was nice, with a balcony overlooking the ocean, and the food was delicious. The setting is fantastic, right on a beautiful beach with sand and rocks, and few hazards for swimming. We even managed to go snorkeling.

The bay views from our clean room were expansive, and the service was kind and helpful, which made us feel at home at Golden Sun. The town is idyllic, with plenty of restaurants, including some of our favorites from our trip around Greece.

We’ve returned for four summers, and the beautiful setting keeps drawing us back. It’s a lovely spot to relax by the beach and pool, with stunning scenery. The staff are friendly, accommodating, and provide excellent service; the rooms are very clean. Breakfast is good, with delicious traditional Greek food. Great for families.
