Anemousa Hotel

The rooms have everything needed for a week on the island, including a fridge, kettle, drying rack, and basin, and they're spacious and clean. Ask for a first-floor room if you want the sunset view. It's a peaceful spot right by the Aegean Sea, and we didn't need anything else.

Great views, very friendly staff, and the place was exceptionally clean. I'd recommend it.

We spent eight nights here on our summer trip to the Aegean and had a really nice stay. The hotel is unpretentious, and while some rooms have been renovated and others haven't, all of them are pleasant and perfectly clean. Many rooms, on both the ground and first floors, look out over the sea, the village of hora, and the monastery. After beach days, we liked unwinding by the little pool in the evening. Nikos, the owner, is discreet but very nice. A lovely place to stay in Folegandros.

We couldn't stay because of an unexpected emergency. I had a doctor's note and politely asked the owner whether we could move the booking to next year. He was dismissive and incredibly rude, which left me shocked by the lack of empathy and professionalism over something outside our control. We never got to experience the hotel, but the way we were treated made a very negative impression. Customer service matters in hospitality, and this hotel fell far short.
