We’re back at Captain Toms for the third time. The place has a tranquil feel and rustic charm, with spacious accommodation and stunning views out to sea and across the mountains. There’s a large pool, too. It’s nothing fancy, just a good traditional Greek style.

Captain Tom is a very nice person and wants his guests to enjoy their holiday at a fair price. We ended up staying four nights after adding an extra one, and I’d happily come back next year. The small apartments have everything for cooking, and there’s free coffee in the shared area. The pool is about 20m long, with plenty of space and sunbeds under the trees. It sits among olive trees, and the location is ideal for exploring Imbros and Aradena gorges and enjoying this part of Crete. Thanks!

The setting in a large olive plantation is lovely, with a peaceful feel and a great view over the shore. The rooms aren’t the newest, but they’re clean and the equipment works. There’s free coffee, and plenty of good restaurants nearby.

We had a very good stay at captain Tom. The room got hot, but the air conditioning helped a lot. The shower was small, though manageable, and the beds were fantastic and really soft. The pool was a nice temperature and open 24/7. It felt very safe, so we didn’t need to lock the door while we were there. Tom speaks English, though not that well.

We weren’t staying overnight, but they still let us enjoy the stunning swimming pool. The whole place was very clean, and the owner was always around and ready to help with anything. The owners are extremely nice, and the quiet setting has a beautiful sea view. I’d recommend it to families and others alike. Hotel guests also get free coffee, tea, and rakia at the pool bar, which is a nice touch. Thank you, Capt Tom.
