Paco's Resort

The location on Paxos has potential, but the resort was in miserable condition and we can’t recommend it. We stayed at Paco’s Resort with two couples and two teenagers, both 16, in a place advertised as a villa for up to eight people. It had just two bedrooms with private bathrooms, plus a small single room with a toilet separated only by a curtain. One teenager slept there, while the other had an uncomfortable metal bed in the living room. At that age, privacy matters, and this setup didn’t provide it. The living room’s metal beds made the place feel makeshift. The furnishings also seemed careless and improvised, with mismatched marble across walls, furniture, and floors. The toilets were so unhygienic that we bought chlorine ourselves to make them usable. Towels weren’t provided daily; we only got fresh ones when we asked, and were told it wasn’t a hotel with daily service or cleaning. A loud pump, apparently supplying water or draining sewage for the property, sat just outside one bedroom window and ran around the clock. We could hear it even with the window shut, making sleep nearly impossible. There was an access door beside the house that was constantly open onto a dirty, unpleasant-looking backyard. On the plus side, we got a free parking card for Paco's otherwise paid lot in the town center, and could also park right outside the accommodation. Still, the state of the whole resort was a real pity given its location.

We stayed for 10 days, and I found the villas clean, very well equipped, and distinctive, with their marble and stone walls. Suzanna provided excellent service. I’d heard comments about dirty villas and poor service, but that wasn’t our experience. The pool was immaculately clean, and I thought the villa was great value. It may not suit people who want an ostentatious, characterless hotel, but we had a wonderful, memorable time.

We booked the pink villa with a sea view and had such a good stay at Paco’s Resort. The pools were great, and everything was super clean and well cared for. Some facilities are a little dated, but the retro feel is cool and you can see what to expect in the photos. Suzana was so welcoming, met us at the ferry, brought extra pillows, and even let us stay comfortably on our last day while we waited for the afternoon ferry. We loved breakfast and evening drinks on the terrace with that beautiful view. I’d recommend it to anyone staying in Paxos.

Suzana and the whole staff were amazing, and she made sure I had what I needed to work comfortably. We stayed in the middle of September, when the weather wasn’t sunny every day, but still made the most of the trip exploring the island and enjoying the resort’s amenities and pool. We had an amazing stay at Paco’s Resort and will definitely come back when we visit Paxos again. Thank you!
