Bissias Guest House

Our room was basic but had what we needed: a kitchenette, a tiny shower, and an ocean view from both the window and balcony. For a more authentic Greek experience, cross the strait from Poros port town to Galatas. Little ferries run back and forth all the time, around the clock. Head to the front of the boat line, and ask “Galatas?” if you want to be sure. In the modest town, the Tavernas serve home-style cooking, and Bissias is a place to stay overnight. Turn left at the boat landing and it's just two blocks away, beside an excellent bakery. Thank you, Vasilios.

The staff were friendly and helpful. When we left a phone charger in the room, one of them caught up with us and handed it back 😀 The rooms are small but practical, and the price is affordable. We had a fantastic view from the balcony while eating breakfast.

Mr. Vassilis was such a helpful, friendly host. We had a lot of laundry, and he even offered to wash it. He changed the sheets and took out the rubbish every day, very hospitable. We stayed two nights and would come back if we needed somewhere in Galata. A big thank you again!

The host was helpful and nice, and for the price the place was okay. The pans were scratched and the shelves old, so those could use an update. An oven or microwave would be nice too.
