Galissas Studios

We've been visiting twice a year, when COVID allows, and these are the best rooms we've stayed in in Greece. They're lovely, spotless, and so well maintained. The family who own the studios are wonderful. Highly recommended!

We've been coming to Galassis Studios for years, sometimes twice in one year. Yianni and Alexander keep the rooms and pool in excellent condition, and everything is very clean. Galassis still feels like one of Greece's best-kept secrets, with a beautiful village, a fabulous beach, and lots of friendly locals. A couple from Kilkenny, Ireland.

Booking.com showed availability for four adults and an infant. Before booking online, I phoned to check that the adults would have separate rooms. I was told the space was divided so two adults would stay in each room. Then he said the baby wasn't welcome in that space, despite the listing showing a five-person room, and explained there was no room for a cot. He went onto Booking.com and removed the availability so I couldn't book through the site, which he admitted during the call. He suggested I phone again in a day or two in case a proper 'family unit' opened up, but each time I called, he said no. It felt like he was stringing me along for no reason. The place is described as "family friendly," but it clearly doesn't want children or babies there. I'm very disappointed.

I've stayed at the apartments for the last seven years and loved every visit. Yiannis and Alexandra are so welcoming and friendly. They're basic places, with beds, a shower and toilet, two cooking rings, and a kettle, but they're kept clean. Towels and linen are changed two or three times a week, and the safe and air conditioning are free.
