Olivas Rooms

The room was lovely, clean, and beautifully decorated, and the owner was friendly. We especially liked the location for watching the sunset, and it was only a 12-minute drive to the city center. I'd definitely recommend it.

A good-value apartment in a handy location.

The staff treated us courteously and were very helpful when we needed to change our dates after cancelling the previous month, so we could visit at the end of August. That was the one thing we appreciated. We paid €127 for an extra night in August, and the services didn't feel worth that amount at all. Our room was tiny, with no soundproofing, and the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. Cleanliness was the main problem: the towels and sheets are changed only every three days, so during our three-night stay we had the same ones the whole time. On one day the room was scheduled to be cleaned at 3:30 PM, when we wanted to rest, so it wasn't cleaned. The woman taking out the rubbish mopped the balcony, then used that same mop in our bathroom, where there were also rusty items in the shower area. Breakfast was brought to the room and was very limited, with three slices of ham, three slices of cheese, and a few other things. We had to remind them on two of the three days because they'd forgotten to bring it. Our room was right by the hotel entrance, so people kept walking past, and the balcony didn't feel private. I think €127 for that night was far too much for what we received.

Our room and bathroom had been renovated, and both were spacious and clean. The people there were pleasant and helpful, and they brought a different, neatly prepared breakfast to our room each day. The location works really well, with Galissas beach nearby and several places to get food or drinks.
