Remvi

The owner and everyone working there were exceptionally helpful. The rooms, pool and other spaces were all in very good condition, and breakfast was nice too. It’s within walking distance of two great beaches. I’d recommend staying here, and we’ll be back next time we’re in Syros.

Remvi is a lovely, well-kept hotel close to the beach, local shops and restaurants. We found everything very clean and tidy, including the pool area, which was peaceful and relaxing rather than noisy or chaotic. There’s a path behind the hotel leading down to the beach, car park, bus stop and shops. By the pool is a bar/café and breakfast area; we didn’t use them, but the food and drinks looked like a good selection at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly, and we appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine and bottle of water after a day of travelling. The hotel is clearly signposted, and they also gave us a booklet with ideas for places to visit and things to do on the island. A great place to stay.

Galissas Beach is only a two-minute walk away, and there’s a nearby bus stop with services around the island roughly every half hour. Several restaurants are also close by. The hotel has a good-sized pool, a bar beside it for drinks and snacks, and a relaxing jacuzzi. I had a great stay in a very clean, quiet room. Breakfast was generous and tasty, and Yannis, the owner, and the rest of the staff were great.

We only had three days here and were sorry to leave so soon. The family’s restaurant near the beach, Savvas, served the best meal we had on our Greek holiday, hands down. Galissas also has a lovely sandy beach with a long, shallow way into the sea, and public transport to the capital is convenient. The hotel looks cheerful as soon as you arrive, with a beautiful pool, immaculate grounds and a lovely view. The owner’s kindness made the stay, especially after a tiring journey and problems with our arranged accommodation. He was helpful throughout. Our room had sea views, breakfast was tasty, and the pool was wonderful. We also loved the very good strawberry daiquiris in the evening. It’s rated as a two-star hotel, but felt much more like four-star to us. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
