The calm setting is a big part of the appeal. Even if you’re travelling alone, as a couple, or with family, it’s a relaxing place near nature, with no traffic, exhaust, or music noise. The nearest beach is a 5-minute walk away, and Ammoudara beach stretches about 5km, so you can look for the kind of spot you prefer. There’s a bus stop 250 meters from the apartments, with frequent summer routes. It takes 15-20 minutes to reach the center of the town, and tickets are affordable. Buses to Ammoudara run until 24.00, even at night. The apartments are comfortable and in very good condition, with a small kitchen for cooking, a fridge, plenty of room to move around, a TV, and fast, stable wifi. The balconies are also nice and spacious, good for coffee or a drink. Mr Mihalis and his wife were wonderfully hospitable. Mr Mihalis has also set up a nice spot with a barbecue grill, which you can use to cook food you’ve brought. A couple of local walks are worth trying. Gazi is just 1 km away on foot, with quality fast food, ATMs from well-known banks, non-tourist shops, a greengrocer selling cheap local products, a citizens' helping center, and a look at how locals live. You can also walk straight along the road from the studios toward the main city. After 19.00, it makes for a nice bit of exercise and exploring. Pagkrition stadium is about 35 minutes away, with another 20 'minutes to the main center. If you like walking, you can return the same way and feel safe. We spent a month here and had a great experience. The place is very, very clean. The owners clean all the rooms every day, even when they’re empty. The previous comment seemed to be based on envy, jealousy, or competition, though I don’t understand people like that. People in Crete are hospitable in general, but the hosts Katerina and Mikhalis were really exceptional, among the kindest and most helpful people I’ve met. They also have a small but beautiful ranch with chickens and ducks, plus a barbecue and other facilities. You can enjoy a traditional Cretan atmosphere, and the owners are happy to treat you to local wine and food. And yes, their price is the best in the area.

It’s a quiet little hotel with a parking area, and the rooms are clean and really decent. The hosts are amazingly friendly, and Ammoudara beach is nearby.

The owner is a real Cretan gentleman. The place is clean and peaceful, and the price is great for what you get.
