We had a really good week here. The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful, and looked after us very well. Breakfast was great 🙂 Thanks so much, and I hope we’ll see You again.

Such a lovely spot, with stores and restaurants just a short walk away. Everyone on staff was friendly, funny and nice, and breakfast was really good too. Greetings to the bartender, much love from Finland. - Mr&Ms Finland

A nice family hotel for a relaxing stay, clean and with a lovely property. It’s near the sea and the little village. Breakfast was good, with something different each morning. I’ll definitely come back.

The quiet was exactly what I wanted, and I found it at Ermioni Hotel. I also came away with new friends and lots of laughter. It’s a peaceful little sanctuary in beautiful, unspoilt surroundings, and I hope I get to visit again. Fond memories of the holiday. Efharisto, Pavlos, Elena, Maria, Linda, Maria and Dragan, for all the hospitality, friendship and kindness. Have a good season! K 🌞 In early June it was so restful that I sometimes had the pool to myself. It’s a good size and not too deep, so families with children can enjoy it too. The pebbly beach is a five minute walk away, has a lifeguard, and feels quite private, with rugged, unspoilt surroundings and wide views. There are sandy stretches a few metres away, and the clear, warm sea felt safe to walk into for about 200m. My top floor room had TV, aircon, a safe and comfortable beds, and Linda cleaned it immaculately each day. From the balcony I could see the sea, mountains and gorgeous sunsets. On some days there were even sheep grazing in the countryside, a lovely surprise. The hotel is family run and small, but has everything you need, with excellent service. Pavlos & Elena and the staff always greeted us with warm smiles, were polite and welcoming, and were happy to help with anything. Maria at Reception was there to lend a hand, and there are two lovely Maria's 😊. Buffet breakfast and dinner gave us lots of choice. Maria made delicious local dishes you couldn’t find in the nearby restaurants. Dragan the barman gave everyone at the pool bar a warm, cheerful welcome. There were a few guests who returned every year, all gracious, and sometimes we joined them for drinks. Pavlos even invited guests to a small gathering for his birthday, with the biggest pizzas I’ve ever seen! There’s a road close by, but the hotel's calm atmosphere meant the traffic didn’t bother me. Buses stop outside and go to Rethymno, Georgioupolis and Chania for only 2.50 - 5 euros. Kavros is a 10 minute walk along a dusty road, with bars, restaurants, supermarkets, gift shops and tour guides. From there, a little train leaves every hour for pretty Lake Kournas.

The road noise from nearby hotels was the hardest part. They played loud music well past midnight, making sleep difficult, and the occasional sewer smell in the evening didn’t help. If you have a car, the location is handy, close to the main road with plenty of parking, and the hotel itself is generally quiet. At first I wasn’t very happy with the stay. The rooms felt dark and not especially cosy, with old furniture and equipment, and everything seemed small, basic and limited. Over the six days, though, I got used to how things worked. It’s a family-run place, so I hadn’t expected the same service as at top hotels. 3/5 (average).
