Georgioupolis Resort and Aqua Park

We spent about nine days there in October 2025 and had great weather. The food was delicious and the service excellent. Our room was quite worn, even though all the rooms were renovated in 2024. The main problems were sorted within 24 hours. Effi and the reception team were especially wonderful. Thank you!

We had a deeply frustrating stay at Georgioupolis Resort Aqua Park & SPA. It calls itself a five-star hotel, but in my experience it missed basic standards of hospitality. Some of the junior staff were kind and upgraded our room for my birthday, but after that things went downhill. We had no Internet for four days, which was unacceptable in 2025, especially on an island where guests rely on being connected. I paid for a room for three and was charged extra, yet my daughter had to sleep on a folding bed. The shower flooded every time we used it. I reported it repeatedly, but nothing was done. On the fifth night I insisted on help, and reception told me there was no maintenance after 10 PM and I’d have to deal with the water myself. I spent the night cleaning the floor. When I tried to raise my concerns with management, I felt dismissed. The manager never called as promised. When I finally spoke to him in person, he said I was “attacking him” just because I calmly explained the problems. There was no accountability and not one sincere apology. There was a lack of basic communication and respect for guests, and this did not feel like a five-star standard. I’d strongly warn others against booking. One star is generous. This hotel doesn’t deserve your money or trust.

The only real snag was the luggage scale at reception. After putting in €1, it works for just 10 seconds. It should either be free for guests as a courtesy or removed from reception altogether. Otherwise, the hotel is in a quiet area near the beach, with plenty of activities for children and some for adults. The food was fresh and good, though I wish there’d been more choice. Staff were polite, friendly, and helpful. I’d definitely recommend it and will go back.

We had a good time at this nice, clean resort. Staff were friendly, the food was good, and you could book special dinners at the resort restaurants, where the food was awesome. The beach was clean, with a bar and restaurant, and free sunbeds. There were sports and entertainment too. The water slides, childcare, and spa looked interesting, though we didn’t use them. Getting around was the biggest downside. The resort feels in the middle of nowhere, 15-20 minutes on foot from the next commercial area and 10-15 minutes by car from Giorgioupolis. I’d take off a star for the location. The hotel should run a shuttle to the next town. The beach is a 5-10 minute walk, which would be fine if it weren’t 38 degrees Celsius outside. The pool was small and crowded, and the second pool was even smaller. Our room was poorly equipped: the glass bathroom door didn’t close properly, there was little space between the bed and wall-mounted TV, and we kept hitting our heads on a hanging lamp. I was surprised it didn’t break. The old air conditioning unit was noisy, and the small fridge was incredibly loud and gave off a lot of heat. I’d take another star off for the room. Drinks were VERY expensive. A 250 ml local beer cost €6, more than in London. The paid cocktails tasted good, but were small and costly. We enjoyed our stay, but wouldn’t return.
