We've been returning to Sonia Village in Gerakini for decades, and that feeling of home away from home keeps bringing us back. The team remembers our preferences, greets us with a smile and makes each stay feel special. It's relaxed and charming without feeling overcrowded, with roomy rooms, most with sea views, plus gardens, a pool and kids' areas for play and rest. The location on the Toronean Gulf is beautiful and peaceful, just right for families or anyone wanting a quiet seaside break. We've enjoyed quiet mornings by the beach, afternoon swims with the baby and family dinners as the sun sets. Gerakini is a quieter part of Halkidiki, without busy nightlife or endless shopping, and that's exactly what we love about it. A gentle haven for families and people who value a relaxed pace. We'll keep coming back.

The area is lovely and the hotel is nice, though it's fairly isolated. Nearby, there's not much to do beyond the hotel and a few small shops and restaurants. We took a taxi to Nea Moudania for more shops and a bit of local life. It cost 45 € each way, and we thought the trip was worth it if you're staying at Sonia resort. The beach is amazing, though it has lots of small stones, so beach shoes are a good idea. The buffet was fine even after several days, and all the staff were really nice and helpful.

It's a lovely, well-cared-for resort, with friendly staff and plenty of entertainment despite being a little remote. Make the most of the trips on offer. The food had plenty of choice, cooked and presented to a high standard, with themed nights as well.

There's a good food selection and the facilities are nice. The hotel is near the beach, but you're mostly limited to staying on site since there are very few local bars and restaurants nearby.

We had a really enjoyable two weeks here in mid September on a Jet 2 holiday. It is a little isolated, but that didn't bother us. The food, staff and rooms were all lovely. Christina & Alexsandra in the dining room and bars were great. We'd recommend the hotel and are hoping to return next Autumn.
