At 11:00 AM, I was suddenly told we had to leave right away or pay 1,500 EUR, even though our checkout extension to 7:30 PM had been agreed earlier through WhatsApp. After I refused, given the short notice and the fact we had a one-year-old baby with us, the negotiation continued. By 2 PM, the amount had been reduced to 500 EUR for only 4.5 extra hours. The pressure was unreasonable and stressful while traveling with family. I didn’t expect to be treated this way by a host in Athens, and it seriously affected my experience. I hope future guests are treated more fairly and transparently.

The host made us feel very welcome, and the location was fantastic. The apartment was amazing, clean, modern, and fancy. Thanks, we’re already looking forward to coming back as soon as we can!
