At 11:00 AM, I was suddenly told we had to leave right away or pay 1,500 EUR, even though our checkout extension to 7:30 PM had been agreed earlier through WhatsApp. After I refused, given the short notice and the fact we had a one-year-old baby with us, the negotiation continued. By 2 PM, the amount had been reduced to 500 EUR for only 4.5 extra hours. The pressure was unreasonable and stressful while traveling with family. I didn’t expect to be treated this way by a host in Athens, and it seriously affected my experience. I hope future guests are treated more fairly and transparently.
